 Haystack’s opening hole will get your attention right away. A fairly simple, straight-away Par-4 plays much harder than it looks due to OB on the left and trees on the right. The smart play is a fairway wood or hybrid off the tee, leaving a short to mid-iron into the green. Be sure to allow for the sloping left-to-right fairway off the tee and you’ll be off to a good start. |
- USGA Rules shall govern play.
- White stakes indicate out of bounds. All public roadways are out of bounds.
- 150 yard markers-white posts.
- Yellow stakes define a water hazard.
- Red stakes define a lateral water hazard.
- Keep carts at least 30 feet from greens and tees.
- Please replace rakes in sand traps.
- Soft spikes required.
- Cart paths, french drains and flower gardens through the green are immovable obstacles. Lift and drop at nearest point of relief no closer to the hole. No penalty.
- Through the green, an embedded ball may be lifted and dropped at nearest point of relief no closer to the hole. No penalty.
- Players are expected to keep pace. Allow faster players to play through.
- Rangers are authorized to enforce rules.
- Proper golf attire required.
