HAYSTACK GOLF CLUB JOINS TOP RATED COURSES IN VERMONT
WILMINGTON, VT

          Haystack Golf Club has been ranked as one of only three 4 Star rated golf courses in Vermont according to the 2010 rankings in New England Golf Guide. Haystack joins Okemo Valley Golf Club in Ludlow and Green Mountain National Golf Club in Killington as the top rated courses in the state. The 4 Star rating also places Haystack inside the Top 30 in New England.
          The New England Golf Guide rankings are based on four criteria: Course Layout, Course Condition, Course Staff and Facilities and Golfer feedback. Of the roughly 660 public courses in New England only about 100 are ranked and of those, only 12 are rated higher than Haystack.
          Haystack Golf Club is located in the southern Greens Mountains of Vermont in the Mount Snow Region. Designed by noted golf course architect Desmond Muirhead and opened in 1972, Haystack Golf Club is one of the finest mountain resort golf courses found anywhere. With soaring mountain views from all over the course, each hole is distinct and memorable and artfully crafted to fit the terrain without much of the up and down common in other mountain courses. At 6,550 yards from the back tees, Haystack isn’t about distance; it is about hitting shots to the correct areas of the fairways and the right spots on the tricky bent grass greens.
